What is Scrip?

 

Scrip is an everyday gift certificate from stores we all frequent.  We buy these gift certificates at a discounted price and then resell them to our school families at face value.  It’s that simple.

 

You won’t need to buy anything different or sell anything to your families or neighbors.  “Shop with Scrip” for all your purchases and we all profit!

 

Here’s an example:

You purchase $400 in Stater Bros gift certificates this month.  We place your order and pay only $380. We earn $20. If 200 families participate at $400 per month, we’ll earn $4,000 per month.  Think about the potential if we also include our department store and restaurant purchases.  This money will go towards playground equipment and classroom encyclopedias.

 

How can you “Shop with Scrip”?

 

  1. Order forms are available in the office or download with the link below.
  2. Review your spending needs and the participating stores.  Determine which gift certificates you’d like to purchase and the denominations.
  3. Return the completed order form and check made out to RCDS in a sealed envelope to the office by Thursday.  See our monthly menu/calendar for order dates.
  4. The next week, Friday, you can pick up your Scrip order in the office after school or have your order sent home with your student.  Orders not picked up will be available in the office the following week.
